ABOUT

Foundry Paper Co.

Immersed in the age-old art of letterpress and craft-printed stationery, Foundry Paper Co. is a multi-disciplinary creative studio based in Poulsbo, Washington.
Telling stories with paper since 2016.

Foundry Paper Co. was founded by New Zealand-raised designer Lisa Woodard. The studio is named for both a love of typography and to pay homage to type foundries of the 15th-16th centuries when movable type revolutionized the print industry. With a background in arts and traditional graphic design, we offer proven experience working with (and designing for) both standard and specialty print techniques.

Collaborating with couples and event planners globally on projects ranging from intimate elopements to large-scale weddings, FPCo. provides full-service design and production of event stationery, from uniquely creative wedding suites, to calligraphy, illustration, and (almost) everything in between.

We design and print in-house on a range of specialty printing equipment (including two vintage printing presses, aka. the much-loved Gunhilde + Gisela), with a particular affection for double-thick cotton paper and well set type.

Above all, we’re besotted by bespoke, one-of-a-kind events, and love creating for excited couples around the world.

Let’s work together.

A note on SUSTAINABILITY

Working with stationery and paper products on a daily basis brings with it a responsibility to make a positive contribution back to the environment. Paper and card stock is sourced from FSC certified sustainable vendors and paper mills, with the majority of our letterpress stock tree free and made from 100% recovered cotton from the textile industry. Paper scraps are retained for test prints and collected for recycling, and packaging materials and shipping boxes are re-used whenever possible. In addition, for each invitation suite produced 10-25 trees are planted in aid of reforestation projects worldwide. If you’d like to join us in planting even more trees, head on over to One Tree Planted to find out more about the importance of the work being done.
